Yes, Ford was consistent with itself on the use of an 8.25-20” tire on an old 7” (new 5.00”) rim width. Just inconsistent with the industry as a whole. Given that the member’s truck is a 1941 there is a good chance he has 4.33” wide rims that no reference says should accept the 8.25-20” tire size. Add to this the above mentioned concern about shallow wheel offsets and the risks of rubbing on the dual rears.
