As Michael described, the sender arms need to be adjusted. I had a generic sender until I found and rehabbed an original KS. It is a bit of trial and error, but it helps to make the sender a bit more accurate. I had to put a Z bend in the float wire to get it short enough so the float didn't hit top or bottom.
