JSeery that makes sense to me. I think the ignition needs only 4 Volts to operate but guessing more at the plugs after it goes though the coil.
The ammeter has never worked on the cars and not sure why it doesn't. I will load text the battery tomorrow and then place a charger on it. It is less than 2 years old.
