Not all local motor vehicle registration employees were the same back in the day. It could have been a Monday or a Friday or an employee that just wouldn't retire until they ran them off or they died. It should have a block for the model year on most titles even way back but you never know. The make and ID number were always the most important part. The rest of it might be anybody's guess. In Texas they just used either 2dr or 4dr for cars and seldom had a model number or body type on there.
