You should only need about a 1/4 turns to start after priming. Starting on battery, only pull up. If it does fire, could back fire if timed wrong and really mess up your enjoyment! Coils or distributor? Suggest you get an owners manual, the suppliers carry them and read it if you are a first time T owner, they were written just for that reason.
