Default Re: 1929 Ford Phaeton Fantastic Original/Restored on Internet Auction ends 12 P 9-20-

There is a lot to like about this car from the pix, and some apparent seemingly small issues that raise questions, like what it is going on around the t-box and the ignition cable, and what about those head bolts. I’d also like to see what the shocks are. If it was closer and I could put an eye on it and I needed a phaeton (which I’ve always liked, but really don’t need at this point in life) I might put a bid on it.

In 50 years in the hobby I’ve never seen a Model A that was perfect, outside of trailer queens at car shows. Any I’ve ever bought have always needed at least some corrections and tweaking. Now, since the cars are pushing 90+ years, and I’m 76, I’m more cautious than ever.
