Yes! Mice do not like light. I also have a "light rope" with LEDs inside it like you would use for holiday decorations and string that along the floor inside of the overhead garage doors. That and the mouse traps at the bottom corners of the doors pretty well keeps them out. I just check the traps every couple of days and they do the job for getting uneducated mice who never make it to the lights. I also put some Fresh Cab inside the cars. That is basically crushed up balsam needles and twigs and is endorsed by the local farmers who hang a bag in their combine cab.
Where I live, mice are a farm's best second crop!
