I too have made this mistake. I now have become OCD about checking, double checking and sometimes triple checking to make sure the ignition switch is OFF. I have even parked in the garage, triple checked, went in to the house and came back out a few minutes later just to make sure it is OFF. I now have a problem that consumes me!
