Definitely oil pan to flywheel clearance issue.

I know the 8BA and 59A flywheels are different, I wonder if this is what can happen if you run a 8BA flywheel on a 59A??

Dunno, just wondering.

If there is a corresponding lump on the other side, it might be ok to use. if worn thin, it might need a piece welding in before it can be used.

Do you have the flywheel that was in it? If you do, what does that show?
