I carry a spare bolt and lock washer in my cars. I’ve been stuck a couple times as a result of failures on these parts. I’ve never tried to remove the broken parts. Almost 60 years and over 50,000 miles of driving A’s. But, do what makes you comfortable driving your A, and drive it!
