Pro wood here but be careful during "break-in". You can't "slip" the clutch like you do a standard transmission. If you do you will burn the bands (been there done that). If you burn them they will chatter and that drove me crazy.

I have wood in my 1915 and Cotton in the 23 and 27. I want to try Kevlar as I hear it feels like cotton which I prefer to wood.

Wood DOES last "forever" which is what I am hoping to experience with Kevlar since I am only 62 and no where near dead!
