Aside from looking like it had cracked from freezing and been epoxy repaired, it may be a high compression head. Youll need to pull it and examine the combustion chambers. An OEM Ford low head (Shorter for higher compression) has re-enforcing bosses around the spark plug threads. the later HIGH heads didn't need that because there was that much more meat for the threads. Pull it off and paste a pic here. Is it aluminum per chance? Whats the engine number off the side of the block by the water inlet? ws
