My '35 ran toward the top at running temp, about 3/4 the way. The problem I had was not knowing what the real temp was or more so what the other side of the engine was doing since they are using separate thermostats. After installing two independent aftermarket gauges I can read them both and know exactly what's going on. By the way, the right side tends to run a tad cooler until completely warned up. I run 180's...
