I'd be more concerned about the old chunks of rust detaching from the block and blocking the tubes. Get a filter like the Gano.

I was told that with a fresh radiator, and a completely rebuilt motor, and using antifreeze - in my case filter is not necessary and the flow reduction of a Gano may cause cooling issues.
Your thoughts?
