Cluck - in short, yes. The Zenith Model A -1, -2 and -3 didn't represent succeeding generations of carburetor, they indicated the manufacturer. -1 were manufactured by Zenith, -2 were manufactured by Holley, and -3 were manufactured by Ford. I don't think the -3 version is too common. There are many references that discuss the Zenith carb, you can look here for an overview.
