I used this product many years ago on raised white letters which I never cared for. The tires were on my un-fendered coupe, painted letters were on the inside and after a lot of miles and years still looked like the day I painted them. I'm sure DuPont doesn't make it any more, but if you can find it somewhere it's the best, bar none.
