If you're running dual exhaust you will find that the exhaust system fits a little closer to the plastic tank, which is larger and holds more than the stock tank. Also on the plastic tank the gas tank line does not exit from the bottom of the tank like the stock tank does. I put a plastic tank in my 40 Ford. An adapter is available to mount the stock gas sending unit.
Also there is no drain on the plastic tank.
