Default Re: Marvel Schebler carb question

Marvel Schebler, a division of Borg Warner, supplied carbs to all sorts of manufacturers before they went completely over to aviation type carbs. They were in the automotive aftermarket business too. A lot depends on what type of base it has. The ones in the flea-pay adds have a universal 2-venturi type base that would fit a lot of different engine models with all the different pattern bolt holes they have.

The Ford G series 226 used a single venturi carburetor as well as the H series later but they had the single venturi base and I'm sure they came with Holley types. It wouldn't make much sense to put a single venturi carb on a V8 unless it was for multi carb applications.

My 1956 Ford 850 tractor has a Marvel Schebler on it but it's an updraft type single venturi carb.
