My dear old Dad, (may he rest in peace), used to say that "Whippet" is what you yelled when you were riding in one of those makes of cars.
He would say that you would hang your butt out the window and yell, "WHIPPET"!
Well, that is what he used to say rest his soul. Indeed he was one of the Great Generation and I loved him.
