For the record, the length of the original inner cable, B-17262, was 61.81" and that of the outer cable housing, B-17261, was 60.82". The routing from the gear and cap assembly attached to the front of the torque tube was through a rubber grommet in a round hole roughly in the center of the right side of the center cross member and then through another, larger, rubber grommet in a large hole near the outside end of the right side center cross member arm (or leg or 'K' member, whichever you prefer). From there the cable is routed on the outside of the firewall as shown in deucevikki's photo.
