Default Re: Like old airplanes? check out the Sopwith Camel and Spitfire

Fabulous! A number of years ago at the airshow at Willow Grove outside Philadelphia, they had a flyover of what they called the "Grumann Cat Flight" - Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat, Tigercat, Panther, and Tomcat. The Wildcat was going as fast as it could go, the Tomcat had the wings forward and just about everything hanging down going as slow as it could go. At midfield the Tomcat cleaned up, hit afterburner, and executed a missing man pullout -- just breathtaking.

Had the extraordinary pleasure of visiting the Shuttleworth Collection in the UK a couple years ago and attending one of the WWI Air Tatoos. Wonderful experience.
