V8, you jogged my memory, I think the ones the local dealer had were $500,00 not $250,000. They had them in the showroom for a long time. The fleet salesman, who is a friend of mine, was telling me about them getting calls from all over offering way over the posted price. I think he told me they weren't allowed to sell them to these high offer bids, not sure how it worked, but there was a no re-sale contract.

When I was younger I had a chance to set in an original GT-40. It was right hand drive. Very interesting interior, everything looked like it was made in someone's garage, LOL. Metal plate for an instrument panel with round gauges mounted on it, steering wheel welded up out of round stock, etc. They were pure race. They wouldn't let me drive it!
