In prison, an uncle learned to make fake bark from a mixture of water, newspapers, casein glue, and applied it to shot glasses, hooch bottles, etc. The texture was created by use of a dull table knife, and then brushed with shellac.
DO ANY OF YOU KNOW HOW THIS IS DONE? I'm studying up on doing woodgraining, and would like to accent it with fake bark. P.M. me if you wish.
