Thanks ,Wayne and Dave. She was riddled with what looked like 30 caliber bullet holes Maybe 30.30 or 30.06 . I was able to hammer them flat, gas weld them and hammer them some more . I had wanted a 30-31 roadster sisce I was a teenager and had just about given up on ever finding one that I could afford. When she came up on eBay with a buy it now, I didn't hesitate. The price was right and nobody else wanted her. Being a bodyman and a shade tree mechanic I knew I could do something with her. She turned out to be a numbers matching car . I had another engine that I had planned to use but when I found that the engine and frame numbers matched, I had to go ahead and overhaul the engine that she had, even though it was stuck .
