Default Re: temperature gauge for 1933

I have a 1933/34 dual Fuel Temperature gauge in my car. It works but is not accurate -It reads outside normal range hot at 190F. I have tried the alternate ice and boiling water baths to try and work out any bubbles in it but still reads high. Next year once the silly season is over I will need to get it recalibrated (which I think equals rebuilt!) . I did sent a message to Morris gauges who contribute on this forum if they could recalibrate it but haven't heard back yet. I'm told there are others that will work on them -Karl
