Simple fix. Get a can of Prime Seal (by Versachem) type 3 Aviation Gasket Sealant at Orielly's for less than $10, brush it on both sides of carb, place the gasket in between, and she'll never leak again. You can use that sealant just about anywhere, and its easy to apply.

Isn't that the same as Permatex #3? The looks of it alone would turn me off. Not sure i would rely on any sealant on a carburetor.
