Richard, I'd agree with you on using a hi temp grease in the steering box, but JD Corn Head Grease is not hi temp and flows well for it's intended use. There is a video on JD's website that tells the story on how this works in their farm equipment, and it also works quite well in steering boxes, and the early Ford enclosed type universal joint.
