Well, I got the generator apart, and fixed the wire, it turned out to be the lead from the cutout to a brush. I fixed it, cleaned things, and put it back together.
I still had no charge, so I decided to try to adjust the third brush, and abruptly broke the brush holder. The adjustment ring is stuck, so I'll have to take it off again to see what else need fixing.
I'll post a thread for parts.. anybody?
