I've never been to the show so I can't comment on that but the museum is pretty cool, I last went in 2003 while in Dearborn for the Nat'l meet. I also visited the Benson Ford Center (archives) in 2005.
If you're going to the museum expecting to only see Ford stuff, you'll be disappointed. The museum does a very good job (imho) of keeping a wide variety of topics. We spent about 3 hours there and very quickly ran out of time to do everything we could do.
I was planning on posting some pictures later, we'll see if I can get around to it tomorrow.

I found that you want to get to the museum early in the morning and spend a day there, then plan on spending another day at the Greenfield part, then if you have parts to look up, plan on spending a day or more at the Benson Ford Reasearch Center.
