Re: What color was the 1946 Mercury engine.
My dad bought a brand new ‘47 Ford, later I bought two used ‘46 Fords and I took over my brother’s 47. I don’t remember what color any of the engines were.
I suppose they were all blue.
I know a ‘49 would be blue. And ‘51 trucks were red but ‘52 trucks were a light green but the cars were not. I think it was 1950 that could be two different colors.
Also I might mention, for example, in 51 the truck engines were red. That means all truck engines, the V8s and both six cylinder. Same for the cars, whatever color the V8 was all were that color, sixes and eights.
