I don't know since I have not taken it on a trip yet. I checked the factory 2V on a trip from Columbus, Ohio to Marietta to visit an auction. They had a few parts too that I wanted to bid on. Oddly enough, they had a tri-power set up (used, and sat in a barn for a while) but someone kept bidding (North Carolina), and ended up paying an awful price for it. I'm not sorry I missed it, and ended up with the Holley 94s.

The tri-power has all the right stuff, and I'm picky. I wanted reliability, so ya pay the price for that. I spent months working on getting everything just right.

I'd say the MPG is probably about the same. It might even be just a bit better. I try to drive it more just to keep the gasoline turned over in the thing. Being a retractable I do tend to drive it more in the summer. I have my share of collector cars, so keeping them all exercised is a bit to keep up with. Good problem to have I guess.
