You may want to lift the body as high as is practicable and see if you can verify the frame number. This would be important if you are serious about authenticity. I always find out what it is due to the ease of parts mixing from different model years.

Some of those U-joint housings would end up cracked. Henry Ford loved making forgings but that didn't last through all of the model A production. A lot of parts that started out as forgings ended up being castings or stamped steel pressings. In any case, you may need the matching bearing retainer for the clam shells you need for authenticity.
