Local battery store that also sells new and used alternators and starters, will take a rebuilt 12V alternator and convert it to 6V, positive ground for $100.

Had a powerhouse generator on the last Model A, nothing but problems with it. A lot of the problem for repairing it was me.

Today, I wouldn't own a Model A without an alternator on it. There is absolutely no hassles with it and the headlights work great.
