The comment about '50-52 Ford pickup not having an OD trans is not correct.
In 1952 my father bought a new top of the line '52 F1 V8 Ford pickup. The trans was a 3 spd column with OD.
I probably drove that truck in excess 20k throughout many of the western states. I loved that truck, was probably the best pickup my dad ever had.
Dad traded the '52 in on a new '54 6 cylinder F1, it was a piece of junk, hated that truck. It was totaled in an accident in Nevada in '55, fortunately I was not driving it..
One of the pickups on my "bucket list" is a '52 Ford F1 V8 w/OD, fully equipped, in the same dark green color as my Dads....
