Default Re: Cam and Quickchange question

Mark your quickchange will accept Halibrand change gears and possibly the lower shaft. Original Ford six spline ring and pinions were used in the fabricated housings The only modification needed to the gear set was end of the pinion splines were machined down so there was now a pilot end that locates in the upper rear cover bearing. If you need change gears and any other parts let me know I have rebuilt a lot of quickchanges over the years. Plus I have Halibrands in all of my cars including one that has gone over 225 MPH. The ones I build have improvements to eliminate blowing the ring and pinion {the weak spot } that then breaks the case. You definitely have an early East Coast hot rod piece.
