Back in the 1980's I was restoring a Model T and snatched up almost any NOS part I could find. Later, I learned that some of it was actually stuff that, while "new," was incorrectly made (bolt holes out of place, etc., casting off center). That is probably why it has survived-the repair man knew it wouldn't work and tossed it into a pile. And along I come decades later......
