Default Re: New Tires

I guess on the radial vs. bias ply debate, I'm on the fence.

If you are one to drive your car thousands of miles a year yeah I can 'get' radials I understand.

But if you are like me and put MAYBE 200 miles a year on the 'A' I can't see them. I grew up driving bias-ply and it's no big deal really to me. You get a feel for the car and drive accordingly w/o ever really thinking about it. If a person is supposed to change tires regularly like at least every 7 years it wouldn't justify the extra $$, at least to me, for the way I use the car.

Plus I'm not running a Mitchell OD I run 40MPH. Faster speeds say over 45 yeah radials would be better for you.

If I need to go fast we have a Mustang parked in the shed!
