It is an early 1930 and I used to have the glass bowl type sediment bulb but I had constant leakage issues with the gasket sealing the bowl. Once with another Model A that I owned the gasket failed while the engine was hot and gas dribbled down on the exhaust manifold creating a cloud of gas steam, very scary! That's when I abandoned the glass bowl sediment bulb. And I do have a standpipe screen in the shutoff valve, thank you for the tip.
