1956 Lincolns are one of my most favorite cars of the decade but between the transmissions and the front ball joints is what has always scared me away from buying one. The front ball joints are $1500 exchange only and finding someone to overhaul the transmission is a needle in the haystack. Not all classic car owners are rich as some are led to believe.
