I raced in a 24 hour motorcycle ice race in 50 below once. Everything broke. Steel chains shattered. Plastic fenders broke off. 2 stroke oil came out of the bottle like a thick greasy rope. When you stopped squeezing, it sucked back up into the bottle.
We had propane tank top heaters that we had to point at each other. Otherwise, the propane got too cold to flow. Every rider lost a little flesh somewhere. If Edmonton didn't have oil, I don't think anyone would live there.
