I've not used Fatmat, but I've used other other products including Dynamat, industrial products, and lead impregnated rubber (that was in a motor home). The more you isolate the quieter it is. It's not just the sound, those products also dampen the "drumming" or sympathetic vibrations. If you've got enough of it do the trunk and the (maybe over a plywood barrier) between the back seat and the car, you'll really see a difference.

Unless you've got a sub roofer back there, then it might even annoy you.
