My father was too old to fight. He was a sheet metal worker, manufacturing bomb casings in San Francisco 7 days a week. Fraser & Johnson had been converted from Heating & Air, which it returned to after the war. My older brother was too young to fight, but had joined the Merchant Marine, serving in the Pacific. Me, I was a Cold War Vet, so my family has nothing but praise and admiration for those who served.
