The balls are replaceable... but take note that they are not perpendicular to the shaft. A club member here in the Chicago area made a fixture for this purpose. He cuts off the old ball, drills out the stub, taps it and screws in a new ball, that we had made some years ago as a club. He then has the new ball tig welded at the bottom to keep it from unscrewing. I believe that there are available replacements that will fit over a stem/stud that is left after you cut off the original ball, leaving the stem/stud sticking up. This ball is then welded on to keep it in place.
