I agree with the art aspect. It is true you could buy a very nice complete car, but there are lots of those about. The chassis has plenty to look at, is immaculately presented and is pretty much a one off. I don't know how much it would cost to prepare one to the same condition. But a repro done today would not be worth as much as this one because the auction one was one of the originals for the world's fair. (or at least it was represented as such).
