Couldnt find that article but I do have the one that shows trimming .035 from the housing or the contact plate but my plate seems to have sufficient room. My thought is that perhaps the spider is sliding into the upper part of the switch housing incorrectly since I can orient the upper part interior pieces to several angles (actually degrees since they rotate)
