If you bought the rubber separate from the sill plates the vendor may have supplied a little extra rubber so you won't be caught short. If you bought the sill plates with the rubber already installed I would think they are "correct" as is, but you never know. Make sure your windlace is in properly and then do some "trial fitting" before you make any cuts. Don't be in a hurry. Also, the door pushes against the rubber to seal the big air space at boor bottom.
