I have my engine all back together and have since 2009 - once every few months i unscrew the spark plugs (only finger tight) and squirt at least 10 or so squirts in each cylinder then with the plugs out crank it over with the hand crank a few revolutions.

I plan to drain and refill the oil before i start it in the truck again and DEFINATELY start it outside - going to kill all the bugs in a 5 block radius lol

the pain important thing is to keep things coated in oil, keep critters out (i use dryer sheets stuffed in all engine orphaces - mice hate them), and keep it moving so every few months (4 times a year or so) liberally coat the cyl walls with oil and give it a few revolutions. hard for things to seize up if their moving.
