Default Re: Rear Axle Shock Mounts

Just so you guys know - it is important to consider which banjo rear you're going to put them on. I didn't use my brain and ordered two sets (thinking I'd run them on late 32-34 rears). They're not designed for these early rears - and really can't be modified to fit - due to the clocking in the backing plate holes, angles needed for the shocks to mount correctly, etc.. What he supplied are a nice looking product - just won't work for my application - and that is my fault.

I'm going to design ones that will fit (in CAD) - to be laser cut from 3/4" steel. Obviously mine will be "fabricated" - but I really don't have any other options that I know of.

I will report back on what I "learn" along the way and I offered to send the above vendor the geometry needed for a 32-34 rear . . . might help him if he wants to create versions for these earlier rears.
