I guess I have to conclude that the failure was my fault. I must have had the crank extending enough so that the pulley did not seat against the crank. How, I don't know because I was aware of the need to consider that. But, I think the fault must have been me. Anyway I have had no problem with my spare engine's original pulley for over a year now. I appreciate all your comments. I learn something almost every time when on Fordbarn.
