Things like that can be burned into your mind, never to be erased. In the '60's, there was a guy from Kenosha, WI, that had a '36 5 window that was nicely done. It was featured in a couple of magazines, and since I was a '36 guy then, I took immediate notice. A couple of years later there was another feature article about the car, with all the "improvements" he had made. Said "improvements" included a garish scalloped paint job, a bunch of kitchen drawer pulls on the grille, and a big stuffed dog he used as a display at shows (along with spotlights, mirrors, and angel-hair). I was so appalled by the way he spoiled a decent car that I will never be able to forget it. I remember his name and the name of his car but will not post it here on the chance he may still be among us.
